What is Cleantech?

Cleantech (short for clean technology) refers to technology which reduces or eliminates environmental harm. This can be due to the use of renewable energy along with other ways of reducing waste and carbon emissions. Despite the name, cleantech companies can actually relate to various industries beyond technology including agriculture, food, transport, logistics and the chemicals industry. By developing cleantech solutions, any business can look to reduce its impact on the environment.
