We’ve just rolled out some great improvements to the domain setup experience in EcoSend.

DNS and domains are a complicated business.

Even experienced web developers can get caught up with a finicky DNS setting, and in a worst case scenario, doing something wrong with your DNS can take your whole website offline. No one wants that!

From speaking with customers, we know that all you want to do is “get in, and send!” — you don’t want to spend any more time than you need to wading through your domain provider’s complex labyrinth of settings screens to get a “CNAME” record.

That’s why we’ve been working hard to make adding your domain to EcoSend as easy as possible.

Here’s A Few Of The Changes

• The area of settings previously known as “Email Sending” is now called “Domains” to clarify where you go to add your domain.

• We’ve simplified the Domains settings screen so there’s less to distract you.

• We’ve rethought the “Add Domain” flow, with a new experience, and helpful hints to ensure you enter the correct domain name during setup.

• We’ve completely redesigned the Domain setup screen with smart detection of your domain name provider (e.g. GoDaddy, Cloudflare, etc). This means we’re now able to give you instructions tailored to your provider, and even link to the correct screen for you to go and set things up. All of this happens behind the scenes, so you can more confidently set up your domain and stop second guessing generic instructions that are common in other email marketing platforms.

• You can now email the domain setup instructions to a developer with a single click.

• We’ve made it possible to remove a domain — eliminating a little frustration for anyone who ever added a fake testing domain to try out the process in the past.

• We’ve also moved “Shared Sender Profiles” over to the “Your Team” settings screen so they’re in the same place as where you manage sender email addresses across your team.

All of these improvements are now available to all EcoSend customers.

We’ve been working really hard to make this process as effortless as possible. If you’ve been stuck with setup before, there’s never been a better time to try EcoSend.
