Fruit Box Theatre is an organisation committed to developing and staging original LGBTQIA+SB theatre. Their mission is to strengthen queer representation, wellbeing, and collaboration in the arts.
Too often, artistic representations of the LGBTQIA+SB community are constrained by tropes of shame, isolation and discomfort. Fruit Box Theatre are passionate about developing and staging original theatrical works that reflect and explore the full spectrum of LGBTQIA+SB lived experience.
With a focus on supporting their community and taking creative works from conception to fruition, Fruit Box has two arms; Development & Production.
The challenge
As part of a review of their Sustainability initiatives and suppliers, the team at Fruit Box identified their existing email campaign processes as an area to improve. This was the primary catalyst to reviewing other email platforms, to identify which platforms offered better Sustainability credentials than their existing supplier.
Fruit Box Theatre's main requirements for email were to send out announcements for their upcoming shows, and to offer their audience opportunities to purchase tickets.
Fruit Box Theatre also needed a combined solution for lead-capture, to add email addresses from their website straight into their Newsletter list.
Results
Having identified EcoSend's as a leader in climate-conscious email marketing, Fruit Box Theatre set-up an account to test out the features.
Their team first integrated an EcoSend Form into their website, giving visitors an opportunity to add their email address to the Newsletter list.
Newsletter submissions then funnel directly into their EcoSend Contacts area, to continue to grow The Fruit Box Theatre audience.
Fruit Box Theatre's Marketing team use EcoSend Broadcasts and drag & drop HTML builder to craft their Newsletters. These campaigns announce upcoming theatre releases to build excitement about new shows, as well as encouraging users to purchase early bird and final call tickets.
Having found that the platform met their needs during their trial, The Fruit Box Theatre team moved to a premium subscription and completed the migration from their existing supplier.
