EcoSend Charity & Non‑Profit Policy

October 2025

Overview

EcoSend exists to help purpose‑driven organisations make an impact through better email marketing. This policy explains who qualifies for our charity and non‑profit pricing, how we verify eligibility, what’s included, and how to apply.

At EcoSend, beyond our mission to make email marketing a force for good, we are committed to supporting local and global charitable initiatives.

Our aim is to have a positive impact on society and the environment, and to reduce any unintended negative impact we have.

How we support charities

In alignment with our accreditation as a B Corp, and membership of the Good Business Charter, we support charitable initiatives in many ways:

  • Discounted subscription options for charities, non-profits, and community-initiatives to use the EcoSend platform to grow their audience and spread awareness of their work.
  • Quarterly volunteering days, during which our team volunteer to support local, UK-based charities. These include but are not limited to, food banks, conservation projects, and environmental clean-ups.
  • Monthly pay-roll giving to charitable organisations.
  • Ad-hoc donations to charitable organisations as part of contract renewals.
  • Raising awareness via our blog, newsletter, podcast, and across our social media channels.

Who is eligible for discounted pricing?

Organisations that operate primarily for public benefit and do not distribute profits to private shareholders. Typical examples include:

  • Registered charities (e.g. registered with the UK Charity Commission, US 501(c)(3)).
  • Charitable Incorporated Organisations (CIO) and charitable trusts.
  • Non‑profits and NGOs (including community interest companies and social enterprises).
  • Educational institutions with charitable status.

Edge cases we typically review on a case‑by‑case basis:

  • Social enterprises without formal charitable status but with a clear public‑benefit mission.
  • Faith‑based organisations delivering broadly accessible public‑benefit services.
  • Advocacy organisations focused on public interest outcomes.

Organisations that are generally not eligible:

  • Political parties and campaign committees.
  • Professional trade associations primarily serving member commercial interests.
  • Private foundations primarily funding a single family or individual.

If you're unsure, please reach out — we’ll review transparently and explain any decision.

Verification requirements

To activate charity/non‑profit pricing, please provide one of the following:

  • Official registration (e.g. UK Charity Commission number; US IRS determination letter such as 501(c)(3)).
  • Companies House/registrar entry (for CICs/non‑profits where applicable).
  • A governing document that states a charitable/public‑benefit purpose and non‑distribution of profits.

We may ask for:

  • A link to your website describing your mission and activities.
  • Confirmation that your email use complies with our terms, ethical, acceptable use and anti‑spam policies.

We may periodically re‑verify eligibility (e.g. annually) to ensure status hasn’t changed.

Discount and pricing

We offer discounted pricing for eligible charities and non‑profits. The discount and plan selection will reflect your organisation’s size and needs. If you have strict budget constraints, tell us — we’ll try to help within reason.

What won’t change:

  • Transparent pricing with no hidden fees.
  • You can choose monthly or annual billing.
  • You can upgrade/downgrade plans as your needs evolve.

Features and limits

Charity and non‑profit customers receive the same great product experience as commercial customers on equivalent plans, including:

  • All core features for your selected plan.
  • The same sending and contact limits as that plan.
  • Access to integrations, templates, and support.

Any usage‑based limits (e.g. contacts, monthly emails) still apply according to the plan you choose.

How to apply

  1. Reach out via our contact form and let us know that you’re applying for charity/non‑profit pricing.
  2. Share your organisation name, country, website, and a brief description of your mission.
  3. Provide your registration or verification documents (see above).
  4. We’ll review and respond quickly, usually within 3–5 business days.

If approved, we’ll enable your discounted pricing and confirm next steps. If we cannot approve, we’ll explain why and outline alternative options.
