EcoSend Client Expectations

At EcoSend, we’re committed to building a more ethical, transparent, and responsible email ecosystem.

While we work with a wide range of organisations, all clients are expected to meet the following standards when using our platform.

Ethical Use of the Platform πŸƒ

You do not need to be a certified B Corp, charity, or β€œbusiness for good” to use EcoSend. However, all campaigns must align with our ethical policy.

We reserve the right to review and restrict activity that does not meet these standards.

Responsible Email Practices πŸ’Œ

To maintain strong deliverability and protect the integrity of the platform, clients are expected to:

  • Keep bounce rates below 10%
  • Maintain a spam complaint rate below 0.1%

Consistently exceeding these thresholds may result in account review or sending restrictions.

If your bounce rate regularly exceeds 5%, or spam complaint rate exceeds 0.05%, our Support team will reach out to you to assist with improving your metrics.

All EcoSend clients can review their key campaign metrics in their dedicated Insights dashboard.

All clients must have clear, written consent to contact every individual they upload to EcoSend.

This ensures compliance with data protection laws and helps maintain trust between senders and recipients.

βœ… An example of a valid method of collecting contact data would be a website sign-up Form, clearly stating the purpose of collecting email addresses, and consent to receive campaigns.

❌ An example of an invalid method of collecting contact data, would be website scraping, or purchasing contact lists.

To comply with anti-spam and data protection regulations, all clients are required to:

  • Include a link to their Privacy Policy in their account settings, clearly outlining how contact data is handled
  • Provide a valid business address in their settings

These elements are essential for transparency and legal compliance across all campaigns.
